iPads with iOS 7 allow easy switching between apps with multitasking. Multitasking allows users to pick up where they left off or close out an app with a few swipes of a finger. Press the Home button twice to see preview screens of the apps that are open. Simply swipe left or right to view all open apps. To select an app to use, tap once to load the app. To close the app while viewing the open apps, swipe up and out of the preview. To close multiple apps at one time, position two or three fingers over different apps and swipe the apps up at the same time. Share this with your students to make sure all apps are closed and not running in the background before turning in student iPads. Closing apps may also allow for longer battery life when not in use.
